Sino-Dutch Mechatronics Engineering School

Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2006, Shanghai Maritime University and Hogeschool
Zeeland have cooperated to set up two undergraduate majors:
Mechanical Electronic Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Intelligent Control. SinoDutch
Mechatronics Engineering School is the secondary school that
takes the responsibility for these two projects.
Hogeschool Zeeland is a public university of applied sciences with advantages in engineering
and commerce majors. It has 24   undergraduate majors and
4 graduate majors, which gain them a very good reputation in Netherlands and even in Europe.
Teaching program of the two majors was developed from Shanghai Maritime University and
Hogeschool Zeeland jointly. Both sides use foreign teaching
materials. And in the last year, the students from Shanghai Maritime University could go to
Hogeschool Zeeland to finish their study.
After completion of the program, besides the diploma from Shanghai Maritime University and
the Bachelor’s degree certificate from People’s Republic of
China, the graduates can get a course certificate from Hogeschool Zeeland as well. And the
graduates may be recommended to further their studies in
Europe or work in European enterprises.
