I. Educational Objectives

This major is designed to cultivate senior inter-disciplinary talents who are acquainted with economic management and modern business theories and  knowledge of e-commerce technology and relevant policies and regulations as well as basic e-commerce process. The students are supposed to master fundamental principles and applications of computer , network and information technology and equipped with professional knowledge of shipping and foreign business.

II. Education Requirements

Students of this major are required to master systematically the basic theories incorporating business management, information management and computer network, and receive solid and wide-range of training in E-commerce theories, approaches and skills, so as to acquire the basic capabilities in analyzing and solving E-commerce problems.

Students who have completed program learning are expected

1. to master basic theoretical knowledge of management science, economics and modern enterprise management;

2. to master the basic knowledge of E-commerce technology including computer science, network and communication, database;

3. to acquire the abilities of network information collecting and processing, on-line marketing, E-commerce and logistics planning;

4. to be acquainted with business of foreign trade industry, and equipped with operation and management abilities in E-commerce operation and management in specific industry;

5. to be informed of the theoretical current issues and the trend in E-commerce;

6. to have a good command of knowledge about document retrieval and data query so as to possess the basic abilities in scientific research and practical work;

IV. Curriculum and Credit Distribution

1. General Education Courses (54 credits)

Requirements: 44 credits for compulsory courses;10 credits for elective courses 

2.Basic Disciplinary Courses (41 credits)

    Requirements: the total of 41 credits for basic courses in the Discipline.

3.Specialty-Oriented Courses(56 credits)

Requirements: 40 credits for compulsory specialty-oriented courses; 16 credits for elective specialty-oriented courses.

4.Optional Courses(6 credits)

Requirements: 6 credits.
