I. Educational Objectives
This major is aimed at cultivating senior talents who have tourism management knowledge especially comprehensive management and development knowledge and skills in the domains of international cruise lines and recreation activities in waterfront areas and are qualified to undertake tourism management, service and development work in tourism administrative departments and tourism enterprises and public institutions and relevant units, especially in international cruise lines, cruise boat and yacht company, waterfront scenic area, port, restaurant home and abroad, travel agency, exhibition, tourist area and tourist agencies engaged in consultancy and tourism scientific research.
II.Education Requirements
Students of this major are supposed to acquire the fundamental theoretical knowledge of tourism management, receiving basic training of tourism operating management so as to master the comprehensive knowledge of management and development as well as skills in the domains of international cruise liners and waterfront recreation with analytical and problem-solving capabilies.
Upon graduation, students are expected
1. to master the basic theoretical knowledge in tourism management discipline;
2. to acquire the qualitative and quantitative method in researching tourism management problems;
3. to grasp the fundamental analytical and problem-solving abilities using tourism theories;
4. to be acquainted with national policies, guidelines and regulations concerning tourism development;
5. to learn about the trend of tourist industry;6. to be proficient in professional English listening and speaking;
8. to process the professional knowledge and skills of comprehensive management and development in the domains of international cruise lines, and waterfront recreation.

1. General Education Courses (54 credits)
Requirements: 44 credits for compulsory courses;10 credits for elective courses
2.Basic Disciplinary Courses (40 credits)
Requirements: the total of 40 credits for basic courses in the Discipline.
3. Specialty-Oriented Courses(56 credits)
Requirements: 40 credits for compulsory specialty-oriented courses; 16 credits for elective specialty-oriented courses.
4. Optional Courses(6 credits)
