I. Educational Objectives
This major is aimed at developing senior interdisciplinary specialists with solid foundation in English as well as comprehensive knowledge and ability about Accounting, Financial Management, Economics and Laws. Students are supposed to be qualified to undertake accounting practice work in foreign-related business enterprise, accounting firm, institutional units.
II. Education Requirements
Students who have completed program learning are expected
1. to master the English language, have the better abilities in listening, speaking, reading, writing and interpreting;
2. to be qualified to undertake the interpretation and translation work incorporating academic exchange, negotiation, information service and etc., be competent to draft up relevant documents in English;
3. to master the basic theoretical knowledge of Accounting, Chrematistics, Management Science and Economics;
4. to master the qualitative and quantitative method in Accounting, and be able to analyze and solve the accounting problems;
5. to have good writing and language expression ability, interpersonal communication ability as well as information acquisition ability;
6. to be acquainted with national and international policies, laws and regulations as well as international practices concerning accounting;
7. to have a good command of document retrieval and data query so as to possess the basic abilities in scientific research and practical work。
III. Length of Schooling, Academic Credits, Degrees Conferred
Length of Schooling: 4 years
Academic Credits required: 158.5 credits(including 20 credits for College English converted from minor courses in English) plus 30 credits for minor courses in English
Degrees Conferred: Bachelor of Management
IV. Curriculum and Credit Distribution
1. General Education Courses (34 credits)
Requirements: 24 credits for compulsory courses;10 credits for elective courses
2. Minor Courses in English(50 credits, including 20 credits converted from College English)
3. Basic Disciplinary Courses (40.5 credits)
Requirements: the total of 40.5 credits for basic courses in the Discipline.
4. Specialty-Oriented Courses(55 credits)
Requirements: 40 credits for compulsory specialty-oriented courses, including 15 credits for practice teaching; 15 credits for elective specialty-oriented courses.
5. Optional Courses (6 credits)
Requirements: 6 credits.
6. Second Class(Extracurricular Activities)(3 credits)
Requirements: 3 credits
