I. Educational Objectives

This program is designed to train higher level engineering professionals that understand the basic theories of electrical technology and information systems, and the basic knowledge of electrical system design, computer, network and information technology, capable of following the latest development and dynamics of electrical technology, and proficient in research, design, manufacture, implementation and development of assortment of electrical devices and information systems.

II. Education Requirements

S are expected to have expert knowledge in signal capture and processing, electronic devices and information system design, to be equipped with the basic theories and skills of electrical information, to have received basic practical training in electrical information engineering and are able to analyses and solve problems related to electrical system design and development, application of integrated electrical devices and information systems.

Upon graduation, students are expected

1. to master the basic theories and knowledge of electronic technology and information technology;

2. to be familiar with electrical technology for signal and information processing, computer technology and network communication technology;

3. to be capable of design, analyze and develop electrical information systems;

4. to understand the electrical devices and information technology applied in the ports, shipping companies, and are capable of working engineering and technical jobs in shipping companies and other related fields;

5. to be informed of the current trend and dynamics of the subject discipline;;

6. to master the basic methods of literature search, data collection, primary scientific research and practical work.

IV. Curriculum and Credit Distribution

1. General Education Courses (48.5 credits)

Requirements: 38.5 credits for compulsory courses;10 credits for elective coursesincluding 2 credits for each of the five major categories of economics, management, laws, humanities and the arts, literature and language).

2.Basic Disciplinary Courses (41 credits)

    Requirements: the total of 41 credits for basic courses in the Discipline.

3. Specialty-Oriented  Courses(61 credits)

Requirements: 44 credits for compulsory specialty-oriented courses; 17 credits for elective specialty-oriented courses.

4. Optional Courses(6 credits)

Requirements: 6 credits.

5. Second Class(Extracurricular Activities)(3 credits)
